Joining our Weekend Crew
We don’t run the Trek all by ourselves; we rely on the 75 dedicated volunteers that make up our Weekend Crew. Our Weekend Crew Members
travel with the Tri-State Trek from Boston to New York, as part of their three-day commitment.
The responsibilities of the Weekend Crew Members include, but are certainly not limited to, organizing the setup and breakdown of our overnights,
making sure the riders’ gear and luggage gets to where it needs to be, that lunch and rest stops are fully stocked and managed, working in
conjunction with medical and mechanical personnel, and anything else we can think of to make sure the Trek goes off without so much as a flat tire!
The roles of the Weekend Crew members include the following positions, vital to the success of the Trek:
- Rest Stop Coordinators
- Lunch Stop Coordinators
- Overnight Team Support
- Medical Staff
- Support Vehicle Drivers
- Gear Vehicle Drivers
- Bicycle Mechanics
- General Crew Support
