Our 2010 Greenwich Finish honors Sgt Roger Petrone. A 16 year veteran with the Greenwich Police Department, Petrone was diagnosed with ALS in 2007 and remains on active duty with Greenwich Police, handling cases in the criminal investigations division. His fellow officers and community leaders are on a quest to make Greenwich, CT synonymous with an effective treatment for ALS.

With 51 townships and 263 miles behind us, we enter Greenwich, Connecticut, and our 3 day journey from Boston is about to come to a close.
First riders are expected in North Greenwich at around 11am. Coming into town on Round Hill Road, early riders will await the group with a few hours of hill repeats up and down our aLst Hill™, John Street. An average grade of 8%, John Street is a steep and winding ¾ mile climb with grades of up to 13% in some places.
We hate ALS, and we take this as an opportunity to prove it. Our aLst Hill is where the fury of angry cyclists bent on the fact that there is still no effective treatment for ALS comes to bear, with cyclists repeatedly going up and down this monster hill.
Riders depart John Street at about 2pm, and the group is expected in downtown Greenwich at 2:20 for our Victory Ride down Greenwich Ave, and Finish Line celebration at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park.
On the last Sunday in July, with full police escort, 300 cyclists will take over dowtown Greenwich in the name of ending ALS.
