One Day Rides were created so that everyone is able to ride at least part of this event. Though shorter, these routes are difficult, and we definitely recommend that everyone train!

Day One - "Velo de Virden"

tristate trek - wers sponsorWhen Dave Virden Sr. was diagnosed with ALS in 2006 there was no hesitation from their close friends and family to come together to show their dedication and support. The incredible force that ensued was dubbed “Driven to a Cure”. This year the Trek is expanding on that dedication and our Day One ride will honor Dave Sr., join us  for the inaugural “Velo de Virden”.

Participants who ride our Day One, will join us at the Start Line in Newton on Friday July 18, 2008 for a beautiful, 95 mile, ride to our overnight at the University of Connecticut.

Rider Check-in is at 5:00am at the Rashi School Inn in Newton, MA and there is a mandatory Rider Breakfast Meeting at 5:30am. We ride out 6:15am. Riders finish the day on the campus of the University of Connecticut with a barbecue lunch.

Registration for our Day One is $75 and each Rider must fundraise at least $250. Register Online Now!

Day Three - L'Alpe de Blais

tristate trek - the peak 107.1 sponsorIn October of 2005 Jon "Blazeman" Blais became the first person with ALS to compete in, and complete an Ironman Triathlon. Finishing the grueling course at the World Championships in Kona, HI, the Blazeman put his body on the line to show the world that much more needs to be done about this disease. .

Our Day Three honors the strength and courage of Jon "Blazeman" Blais. Cyclists can join us at our breakfast on Sunday, July 20 and ride with us through the back roads of beautiful southern Connecticut and Westchester County, NY. Day Three finishes on the campus of Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, NY with a barbeque lunch.

Rider Check-in is at 5:00am at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven. There is a mandatory rider Breakfast Meeting at 5:30am. Cyclists who don´t want to make the early morning drive to New Haven may join us at our Saturday evening overnight at SCSU. Space is limited! Please contact us to make overnight accommodation arrangements.

Registration for the Final 75 is $75 and each Rider must fundraise at least $250.
