Three-day riders, single day riders, weekend crew, and even day volunteers can all be a part of a team, and you can all share in this amazing experience together.
Originally designed as a way to help riders fundraise (fundraising as a group is much easier than fundraising alone), our Teams Program has become something so much larger. The camaraderie and competition our Teams program generates is a great thing to be a part of, and currently there are over 40 Teams taking part in this event. Register your Team today and ride the Tri-State Trek!
How it Works:
- Register for the Trek and select that you are participating on a Team, and give the Team Name
- Have your Teammates do the same.
- Train together, fundraise together, share ideas, and ride the Tri-State Trek as a Team!
Fundraising as a Team:
- All Tri-State Trek riders will have a fundraising page at active.com where donations can be made and tracked, The Team Captain should create a Team Fundraising Page by visiting www.active.com/donate/trek2008§ion=create_fundraiser
- Team members can than link their fundraising pages to the Team Page
- Donations made through the Team Account will benefit all riders on that team. Donations made through the Individual Account will benefit only that individual.
- When fundraising, riders can choose how they would like the funds allocated by directing donors to either their Team Account or their Personal Account.
- Participant’s using Pledge Forms should make sure these are filled out accurately so donations can go to the individual or the Team.
IMPORTANT NOTE: While our Teams Program is designed to make fundraising easier, it is not intended to give anyone a “free ride” and all riders are responsible for fundraising. The Trek is not a bike ride; it’s a fundraiser to end a disease. All TST riders are expected to actively fundraise.
